[ ] UPDATE ⚠️ It was worse this time than the first😵. ➡️➡️ I was invited back here by friends for Labor Day 🥼 and foolishly 🎭went. I arrived early so was on my own again, not knowing anyone. Well same shit different day.People skipping the paddle rack, which there were paddles in, and playing multiple games without rotating. One employee in ponytail finally stopped it but again this was after paddles in rack skipped repeatedly. The cherry 🍒 on top today was when I paddled into a group of 3. One in the group told me specifically we were up and I headed to the court. The 3 of them I was paddled in with did not 🚫 come to the court because they decided they wanted their own 4th (an employee at the Pad name Giselle who had not paddled in and I believe was on the clock, because when I asked, nobody would shoot me a straight answer.) I sat there on the court by myself as the 3 of them watched👀 me but did not come.I was called off the court by the friend who could hear their conversation, which consisted of we want to play with our group. 💔💔I think the worst part for me was that an employee took my spot instead of myself , who foolishly paid 💸to be treated like this. I hate 😡Clicky Pickleball and that is exactly what this was and also offensive because I paddled in just like everyone else and played with who I got all day. Why is it so hard to do the right thing?🤔 ]]] ⬅️⬅️. (ORIGINAL REVIEW) I was back to Tucson and I was soooo looking forward 🤗to playing at The Pad and unfortunately was sooooo dissapointed😕. I went to The Pad a day early before recent tournament. I went in and asked if I could look around and was told yes. I went out and looked and headed back to the desk.I asked if they had any tournament info for the next day and the desk attendant said they knew nothing about it.🧐 I confirmed online that it was indeed there and the next evening. I secured/confirmed registration and headed back the next evening. I was told we could play/ warm up since we were paying a $18 venue fee. I went in put my paddle up in the next spot and continously was not paired up with anyone, while groups of 4 stayed together and paddled in together and even skipped me altogether. At last after being skipped two times, an amazing couple paddled in with me and played. The tournament started and I was already dripping sweat and hot and uncomfortable. I looked over and saw it was 87° inside. When I said something the response was that the owner knows but has not done anything about it.For myself personally , I would not be paying $100 a month to play inside without air conditioning especially during the hot months.🌞🌡.For myself the experience was really negative. I have since played at the other indoor venue in Tucson, ACE and the experience was completely the opposite, from paddling in at each court, proper A/C to the staff checking in on players . Anyway that was my experience and the fact that I had to pay $18 for it ensures I will definitely not be back unless as a guest and the air conditioner works. I think the worst thing is that when you are excited about something and turns out to be nothing what you thought or expected.💔
